Inspired by my own pregnancy Kalma Baby offers a unique class for pregnancy, nurturing mummy and baby through exercise and music. It is a joy to instruct, helping mums-to-be in preparing their bodies and minds for the stages of pregnancy and ultimately for labour and birth. What does the class entail?
The exercises in class are based around pilates conditioning exercises to assist you physically for the stages of pregnancy and birth. We will go through movements and techniques that you may find help you to cope with labour and very importantly you will also have time to get in touch with your baby and yourself.
At how many weeks can I start?
So long as your doctor is happy for you to exercise at any point during your pregnancy is fine, Pilates is very adaptive for the various stages of pregnancy.
Should I have previously exercised?
It is not necessary to have exercised prior to classes as they are not strenuous on the cardiovascular system and are designed for pregnancy.
What do I need to wear?
Loose and comfortable clothing is all you need we will provide all the equipment necessary.
