Yoga

Yoga has been practised for more than 5000 years. Most people will be familiar with the physical aspect of yoga and perhaps meditation, but there is much more to yoga than first meets the eye. A holistic science for self-improvement, whose purpose is to consciously focus one’s mind, body and spirit in order to find harmony. It is of benefit to the internal organs, relaxation, strength, flexibility and can bring calmness to the mind.

Pilates is renowned for its physical benefits, creating a strong back and core function, postural correction is emphasized and as well as gaining strength. Many students find it wards off back pain so long as they practise regularly they remain pain free. There are many levels and it is suitable for rehabilitation right up to conditioning for the professional dancer.

T'ai Chi

It is an ancient art from the east, developed from ancient Chinese and healing techniques, a dance of 'life' adhering to the Taoist philosophy of yin/yang. It is truly a system to promote and maintain health of the mind, body and spirit. Suitable for all ages you can expect to:
